Jaeger Arrow arriving at Rotterdam

Jaeger Arrow arriving at Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands 10-Dec-2006.

Editor: Photo of the Jaeger Arrow (IMO 9215347). I've found several classifications of this ship, but I'll go with the one on Gearbulk's own site - this is a TEFC or Totally Enclosed Forestry Carrier. She sails under Bahamas flag and measures a length of 171m, beam of 25m and 18,930 GT. She was built in 2001 by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Ulsan, South Korea.

She is the only ship of this type in the world. The ship is a type TEFLPC which stands for Totally Enclosed Forest & Liquid Pitch Carrier. She is called " Queen of the North Atlantic ". She can crush 1.5 mtr thick ice and have a top cruising speed of 18 knots. Liquid pitch is the hottest cargo carried on ships ( 240 dgr C.)
