The 11,238 tons cargo ship was built as the GBR registered Crestbank in 1978 by Sunderland SB Ltd, Pallion, England. The Crestbank changed name in 1986 in Tamathai, in 1987 to Northman, in 1988 to Tamamima, in 2005 to Berga and in 2006 to Novanoor.
