News from the vesseltracker web site:
"The "Pride of Telemark" on May 5, 2011, got caught in a fiber cable in a depth of 55 meters underway from Spind to Lundevågen leaving customers at Spind without broadband connection. The ferry which is laid up in Lundevågen was moved to the Spind archipelago, when the cruise ship MS "Balmoral" came to Farsund on May 5. As the "Pride of Telemark" returned to Lundevågen at 6 p.m., its anchor dragged along the fiber cable, which was pulled 200-300 metres out of its position, leaving the ferry caught off Spind. The ship required the assistance pilot boats to get loose. On May 6 investigations showed the cable was destroyed. A new cable will not be available before May 9. Laying a new cable is estimated to take 150, 000 Norwegian crowns."
