The Blue Star 2 was built for Strintzis Lines, with intended name Superferry Pacific, who changed their name to Blue Star Ferries before the ship was delivered. The company, was sold to Attica group, and now it has been sold again, along with Superfast Ferries. The ship was used on a short spell on Pireaus-Chania in 2003, and in 2005, on Pireaus-Patmos-Leros-Kos-Rhodes. This year, Blue Star 1 joined the route.
