Passenger ship Francesco Morosini

Nice black and white picture of the Italian cruise ship Francesco Morosini (year 1950 is just a wild guess). She was built in 1928/29, was 84 metres long and measured 2423 tons.
I've not been able to find much information on her except that she was involved in a collision in 1931 with the Karadjordje in the Pašman Channel near Babac island.
Whatever her history, I think she is a great looking ship. I particularly like her straight bow.

The passenger ship Francesco Morosini (2423 gross tons) was built in 1928 for Italian company San Marco of Venice. Sold to Adriatica in 1932. She was seized by the German Kriegsmarine, and went down in 1944.

I travelled on the Francesco Morosini in 1952 from Vera Cruz, Mexico to Port of Spain, Trinidad. It was not the boat in this picture which must be the one that "went down in 1944".

My Grandmother sailed from Kingston Harbour, Jamaica to Genoa, Italy in 1954/1955 on Francesco Morosini. I would love to read the accounts of fellow passengers; the route taken, duration of travel and first-hand experiences aboard this ship.

I was a passenger on the Francesco Morosini. It sailed out of Kingston harbour in December 1955. It took about two week to reach it's destination in Italy. From there we went to Calais , then on to England. I was 17 years old. I can't recall all the details but you can email me and I will fill you in. I joined the RAF in 1959 discharged in 1962.

My husband was sharing his experience with me of his journey in September 1955 from Kings, Jamaica to Genoa on route to England. Would love to connect with someone who made that journey.

My mother would love to know if anyone can recall the journey from Kingston 13th of August. My mother remembered the journey. Going to church on the boat, also in Italy. The boat refused to stop at Trinidad. The food was mainly Italian, which was different to what for my Mother, coming from Portant, the boat was a united family. My mother would love to here of fellow passengers.
