R/S 137 Kristian Gerhard Jebsen
This Norwegian rescue vessel was present at the lifeboat gathering in Gothenburg on 2 June 2007.
The Norwegian company Båtservice Mandal AS is reported (if I have translated the Norwegian correctly) to have delivered RS 137 to the NSSR – Norsk Selskab til Skibbrudnes Redning (Norwegian Society for Rescue at Sea), Yard no. 55, in September 2007, which means that I took this picture before delivery!
This is an aluminium vessel using material supplied by Norsk Stål and Hydro Aluminium. Length overall: 22.50 m, beam: 6.38 m, draught 1.43 m, GRT approx. 87 tons,
Two MTU 12V396 TE 74L diesel engines of 1500 kW each, providing a speed of approx. 25 knots.
