Japanese training ship 'Seiun Maru' of 1997
Tokyo-registered training ship "Seiun Maru" (5,890 tons gross, built 1997 at Sumitomo Heavy Industries' Uraga Shipyard), operated by the National Institute for Sea Training (a governmental institution under the direction of the Ministry of Communication) at Kobe on 22nd August 2013. She was built to replace an older ship of the same name (built 1968) & has a maximum total complement of 252.
