Liberian VLCC 'Paul L. Fahrney' of 1971

Crude oil tanker "Paul L. Fahrney" (263,853 deadweight tons) at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' Nagasaki Shipyard one week before her delivery to Chevron Transport Corp of Monrovia (a subsidiary of Standard Oil of California) in March 1971. The following year she was bought by the Union Bank of Los Angeles & leased back to Chevron; in 1986 she was sold to Troodos Shipping & Trading Ltd. of London & renamed "Mariners Legacy" & later the same year she passed to Legacy Corp. & was renamed "Legacy". She was scrapped at Chittagong, Bangladesh, in 1992.
