tourist attraction 'Oriana' at Shanghai

ex-passenger ship "Oriana" at Shanghai in September 2001. She was built in 1960 by Vickers-Armstrong, Barrow-In-Furness (41,910 gross tons), as the last ship of the then Orient Steam Navigation Co., which was merged with P&O later in 1960 to form P&O-Orient Lines (the "Orient" being eventually dropped in 1966). She was sold in 1986 & used as a tourist attraction/hotel ship, first in Japan then (from 1995) in Shanghai & finally (from 2002) in Dalian. She was damaged in a storm in 2004 & broken up the following year. A lot of history & photos can be found at http://www.ssmaritime.com/oriana.htm
