Shell-Mex coastal tanker at Greenock in February 1974. She was built by the Appledore Yard in 1972.
In 1979 she was renamed SHELL DIRECTOR and is still around as F K BADMUS.

Used to watch the CAERNARVON come in to the oil wharf in Caernarfon. I lived within 100m of the Menai Straits and still remember running down to the wharf when she came in. Very impressive coming in to such a small berth . Still live in Caernarfon to this day.

They were good times for the town
