Was interested to see the comment on the MARLAND. This was taken in Glasgow in January 1974. She had come from Birkenhead following a serious fire in her aft accommodation when undergoing repairs. Some lives were lost. She went into the Inchgreen Drydock at Greenock eventually. You can see the fire damage. She was built in 1959 by Kockums at Malmo as the Blandford Shipping Co's BIDEFORD and went to breakers at Kaohsiung in November 1975 so did not last long after her Clyde visit.
