CATHAY

P&Os CATHAY in King George V Dock in April 1967. The former Belgian BAUDOUINVILLE she was built by the Cockerill Yard in Belgium in 1957 with only a short life passing to P&O in 1961 following I think the loss of the Congo.
Her sister JADOTVILLE became CHITRAL.
CATHAY lasted with P&O till 1975 then she went to Chinese owners and was scrapped in 1998 as SHANGHAI.
Ahead is Glen Line's DENBIGHSHIRE built in Holland in 1939. She transferred later to Blue Funnel becoming SARPEDON.
