Bath Iron Works, Maine, USA
Bath Iron Works (BIW) is an American shipyard on the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine. It was founded in 1884 by General Thomas W. Hyde. It has an extensive history in supplying the US Navy with vessels from gunboats right through to battleships and cruisers.
Since 1995 BIW is owned by General Dynamics, one of the largest defence contractors in the world, so I guess its long history is to continue.
