Burrard, Vancouver, Canada
Burrard Dry Dock Ltd was a Canadian shipbuilder. It was founded in 1921 (from the existing Wallace Yards) and had its headquarters in Vancouver, BC. In 1971 the yard was sold to Yarrow Shipbuilders (leading a consortium) and it was renamed Burrard-Yarrows Corporation. In 1985 its name changed again, into Versatile Pacific Shipyards. However, the yard struggled and ceased in 1992.
Burrard built over 450 ships in its history, many for the allies' navy in World War II.
