Aker Finnyards, Finland
Aker Finnyards, was a shipbuilder in Finland operating under this name for some years before 2005 as a result of the combining / purchasing of several individual companies. It was a merger of Kvaerner Masa Yards (these included Wärtsilä and Valmet shipyards) amd of Hollming Oy of Rauma and Rauma-Repola of Rauma.
The yards still exist but the name has changed to Aker Finnyards Oy, later to Aker Yards Oy and after that to STX Finland Cruise Oy. Part of STX Europe at this moment (2010).
